Construction of 800 NPHP apartments approved in Multan

Lahore: Minister for Housing and Urban Development Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed has provided his approval to the construction of 800 apartments in Multan, stating that these units will be modelled on the LDA City Naya Pakistan Apartments projects, according to a news source report on March 31. Minister Rasheed made this announcement while presiding over a meeting of the Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA) Board of Directors. It was also revealed that these NPHP apartments in Multan will span over three marlas and will be developed on two acres of PHATA-owned land at Madni Chowk. The meeting also approved the construction of two new low-cost housing schemes in Multan and Rawalpindi – with 20% plots reserved for NPHP developments in each project. The meeting was also informed about PHATA’s ongoing development projects. Regarding the low-cost housing projects, Rasheed said that the approval for the housing projects is being accorded on a priority basis. He also said that NPHP is progressing effectively with assistance from the private builders and developers.
