PHA approves mega public health club project for Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Chairman Asif Mehmood recently announced the authority’s decision to approve the development of a modern health club facility for the city’s residents, a news source reported. Read: PHA Rawalpindi to commercialise 2% land of public parks According to details shared by sources within the PHA, the proposed health club will feature an array of leisure, recreational and fitness facilities. These include a fully equipped gymnasium, a swimming pool, gaming zones, and eateries featuring local and exotic food items. The PHA will initiate a proper membership drive meant specifically for the residents of Rawalpindi. Work on this project is expected to be initiated in the start of the fiscal year 2020-21, and the authority is keen on completing the project within one year. In addition, it is also expected to have separate health and recreational facilities for women.
