Amendments in Sindh Society Act 1925 ordered to deal with multiple land-allotment cases

Karachi: Sindh Minister for Industry and Trade Jam Ikramulla Dharejo has directed the authorities concerned introduce amendments in Society Act 1925 in order to address the complaints regarding multiple plot allotment cases identified in the province, a news source reported. Cooperatives Secretary Akhtar Inayat Bhurgri and other officials concerned were all present at the occasion. He ordered amendments in the act to introduce regulations that rule out the possibilities of such incidents. Dharejo also said that the officials who will not share the reports will face an inquiry. Moreover, the minister ordered that each society be made to form a members’ council and specify the related rules. In this regard, the society management should be made to follow the Section 20.
