Only 4 out of 159 wedding halls legal: LDA finalises the list

Lahore: Out of159 wedding halls and marquees that fall in the jurisdiction of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), only four have been declared legal, according to a news source. The authority has finalised the list of illegal wedding halls on the orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. The approved wedding halls are Mughal-e-Azam in Garden Town, Dynasty Event Complex in Johar Town, Liberty Castle in Gulberg and Land Breeze Marquee on Raiwind Road. The illegal marquees and wedding halls have overlooked major rules set for these developments, including the four-kanal minimum size limit and provision of ample parking space.
