Peshawar: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has dismissed a petition filed against construction of a flyover for Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in Chamkani, reported a news source. The writ was filed by a resident of Chamkani, in which the petitioner claimed that the flyover wasn’t part of the project and that it will block the traffic route in the area. A two-member bench of PHC comprising Justice Qaiser Rasheed and Justice Muhammad Ayub Khan turned down the petition after listing to the arguments of Additional General Advocate Syed Sikandar Raza who was representing the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Raza said that the flyover has been part of the BRT project plan and the PHC has already approved its map so the objections on this flyover don’t stand valid.
